The most endowed Bwindi impenetrable forest national park has several gorilla groups. Found in the Nkuringo sector is Bushaho gorilla family.
For a while Nkuringo sector was dominated by one gorilla family and produced only 8 gorilla permits. This limited choice makers from choosing which gorilla family to track in this region. Upon successful habituation of Bushaho gorilla family, gorilla permits num,ber hiked, the choice could be made.
Bushaho gorilla family is made up of 9 members that are led by Bahati silverback. This group’s found in the Nkuringo sector of Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.
In 2012, a few member of the Nkuringo gorilla family group disappeared from the group. After much efforts were injected into searching them, it was established that they had joined the Bushaho gorilla family group.

Among the members that left Nkuringo gorilla group is Bahati who was a silver-back here and when he moved to Bushaho gorilla group, he became the dominant one.
The monitoring team of trekkers’ observed the conduct of the members of the parallel group. This family was later habituated and given the name Bushaho.
Bushaho is a place where the Bushaho gorilla family forages most. Bushaho The group has 11 members composed of 1 Silverback, 1 blackback, 4 adult females plus 2 semi adult females and 3 infants.
